Crops of Dalit farmer set on fire

Muzaffarnagar (UP), Apr 24 (PTI) Crops of a Dalit farmer were allegedly set on fire by some members of an influential community, following a dispute between the two groups, police said today. The wheat crops of the farmer were burnt in Manpuri village under Gangoh police station of Saharanpur district yesterday, police said. A case under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was registered against the five accused who are absconding, they said.
